A gorgeous 1960's model 38-503 Dynamic microphone. This model was produced by Calrad, Midland, AMD and a few other Japanese manufacturers at the time.
This non-working microphone closely resembles the famous Astatic 77 both in size and styling. The Monarch mics never measured up near the same sound quality as the American counterparts but that being said they have a beautiful design with high quality finish. The working ON / OFF switch controls the light. The satin chrome finish is exceptionally nice with zero scratches or pitting. The black screens are free of any rips or holes and the joint mechanism works great.
This microphone has a classic Italian deco design that was very popular during the 1950's and 60's before the look faded out. If you are looking for something very unique in which to display...look no farther. This Japanese microphone looks sweet and sure to draw attention anywhere it sits in the home, office studio or "Man Cave".
