About and Workshop Videos (below):
Art and design have always played a large role in my life. Growing up in Michigan in the 1950's, we lived in a home that was made unique from others around them through the modern art and furniture our parents purchased. My parents collected small sculptures, prints and contemporary furniture that influenced my passion for design. One such favorite item being the now infamous Saarinen pedestal table and tulip chairs.
I've owned/managed a commercial art studio and graphic design firm before working at an architectural firm. During this time a I learned wood and metal working and studied industrial design. After managing the BluArch Collection, a brick and mortar art/design store in Birmingham, MI, I decided to close the store and concentrate on my online presence of the BluArch where I sell my own designs.
